Day 01 - Airport-Pinnawala-Kandy

Arrival in Colombo International Airport and meet with our representative at the arrival lounge,

AM- After breakfast on your way to Kandy visiting Pinnawala elephant orphanage. The orphanage was founded to care and protect the many orphaned unwanted wild elephants found wandering in and near the forests of Sri Lanka. It was established in 1975 by the Sri Lanka Department of Wildlife Conservation .  (This schedule is an option .if you like to visit or skip.

If you don’t visit elephant orphanage,

On your route Visit spice garden mavanella.

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage

Features one of the biggest herds of captive elephants in the world. The Pinnawela herd today numbers nearly 71 and is easily one of the most popular tourist attractions in Sri Lanka. The main attraction at Pinnawela is watching the elephants walking down to the river twice a day to have their bath. Feeding time for baby elephants is also a very popular time at the orphanage.

Proceed to hotel

PM- after lunch. In Kandy visit temple of tooth. This temple, the most important one for The Sri Lankan Buddhists was built in the 16th Century A.D, solely for the purpose of housing the tooth relic. Observe the magnificent Architecture of that period and experience the tranquility of the atmosphere.

Day 02 -  Kandy

Am- after breakfast do a city tour of Kandy. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings, and is a World Heritage Site. The name Kandy conjures visions of splendor and magnificence. Many of the Legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala king Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798. Visit the Kandy town and Bazaar, the arts & crafts center and a gem museum and a lapidary.

Visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. This botanical garden was first built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala king and was expanded by the British. It is 147 acres in extent and provides an amazing variety of trees, plants and flowers.

In evening witness a spectacular Sri Lankan cultural show. (OPTION)

 Day 03 -   Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

 AM- Train ride to Nuwara Eliya ( nanu oya) from Kandy  (OPTION)

Travel deeper into the tea-growing hills and have the option to wind through the mountains with magnificent views.

En-route to Nuwara Eliya you will visit Ramboda waterfall and a factory of the popular Sri Lankan Tea.

PM- Arrive in Nuwara Eliya to be greeted by the fresh wintry atmosphere, Nuwara Eliya is located at the heart of the hill country 6182 feet above from the sea level. It is still very much like an old English town with styled Bungalows and buildings. The cool calm climate, gorges rolling tea plantation which makes the best “Ceylon tea” and the breathtaking beautiful waterfalls makes Nuwara Eliya one of the most beautiful town in the world.

Day 04/05 - Nuwara Eliya-Tangalle/Mirissa

AM-after breakfast proceed to Tangalle

Transfer to hotel and relax. 

Beach activities / excursion to Mirissa and Galle-(suggestions)

AM- After breakfasts proceed to Mirissa and visit parrot rock and site seen.

Mirissa is a small town on the south coast of Sri Lanka, located in the Matara District of the Southern Province. It is approximately 150 kilometers south of Colombo and is situated at an elevation of 4 meters above sea level.

Possibilities to watch turtle farm -option

PM- visit Galle Dutch Fort which was built first in 1588 by the Portuguese, then extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century.

Visit to beach

Dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel in Tangalle /Mirissa.

Day 06 - Tangalle/Mirissa - Colombo/Negombo

AM- Colombo city tour.

Dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel in Colombo/Negombo.

Day 07 - Colombo-Airport

According to the flight schedule departure to the airport.
